The Bears have won a title since 1973, today they made up for the lost time. The Bears exploded in late in the first half and in the second half never looked back. Trey Willis left everybody in the dirt and sealed the deal with a 98 yard kick return for a touchdown. The Bears put the most points in the dome besides Creekside and they earned their state championship.
Steve Devoursney captures his first state title as head coach of the Griffin Bears, Steve ‘s record a 128-35 over 10 years. The Devoursney family breathed a sigh of relief after the game was all said and done and Mrs.Devoursney said she was very proud of him and the boys as she called them. They felt like family to me.
